Because I am currently focused on providing broader dissertation, doctoral study, and thesis (research study) support through print and digital media to graduate students across the United States and worldwide, I am not offering long-term editing, coaching, and mentoring services at this time. However, to support prospective, current, and former graduate students who must still complete their research study and degree, I offer two types of private coaching and mentoring sessions. Please review the details below.
Throughout this page, "former students" refers to students who started an academic program but did not complete it, whether they are no longer enrolled at their university or are considering a return to finish their degree.
Service Overview
Service 1. Research Study Review and Coaching Session
$350 base fee plus $0.03 per word.
Your word count is your document's total word count as reported by Microsoft Word, including references and appendices. After you send me your document, I will verify the word count and email you an invoice showing the calculation and your total.
For current and former students.
I review your research study personally. I do not delegate this work to an associate or contractor.

What this service does not include:
This service is a developmental review. I read your research study closely and comment on its direction, alignment, and structure. I do not make corrections in your document, so this service does not include line editing, copyediting, proofreading, or formatting.
I will also share guidance on how to vet and hire a reputable external research study consultant, so that you are not taken advantage of, and how to work effectively with that consultant throughout a long-term editing, coaching, or mentoring engagement. I will also explain how to use other specialized services when your study calls for them, such as those from a statistician or a qualitative methodologist.
It is essential that you hire reputable external consultants. Unethical external consultants can cost you time and money. Please note that your university may have guidelines on the type of services you can use from external consultants. Therefore, I highly recommend that you review your university and academic program guidelines on the use of external consultants. You can also speak with your chair and other supervisory committee members about your plan to use external research study consultants so that you are all on the same page.
What to do if you are interested in Service 1:

For prospective, current, and former students.
This service does not include a research study document review. It is a private telephone consultation covering your questions and concerns about your current or future doctoral or master's program, including your research study.
Topics may include:
What to do if you are interested in Service 2:
You are welcome to book more than one session. Some students book Service 1 again after revising their research study, and others book Service 2 for follow-up questions after our session. The returning client rate applies to Service 2 consultations only, because each Service 1 review requires me to read your document in full.
Turnaround time, rescheduling, and refund terms are set out in the agreement. I am happy to answer any questions before you sign.
I am happy to speak with you.
I am working to provide a wide range of print and digital media resources, including research study books, blogs, videos, podcasts, online courses, and more, to support graduate students' research study success.
