DEDICATED DISSERTATION, DOCTORAL STUDY, AND THESIS EXPERT

Dr. Rose Dissertation University (DRDU) provides support to graduate students who must complete a dissertation, doctoral study, or thesis.

It is my honor to support doctoral and master’s students as they work to complete their dissertation, doctoral study, or thesis (i.e., their research study). I am Dr. Carolyn Rose-Smith, and for over 13 years, I have worked as an external dissertation, doctoral study, and thesis editor, coach, and mentor (external research study consultant). I am passionate about my work, and I strive to help graduate students across the United States and around the world. Therefore, I have now incorporated books into my mentorship of graduate students. I plan to add more print and digital media resources, including blogs, videos, podcasts, online courses, and additional research study books, to support graduate students’ success.

I work directly with graduate students through two focused services. I am not taking on long-term editing, coaching, and mentoring engagements at this time, as my focus has shifted toward reaching more students through books and other print and digital resources.

Throughout this page, "former students" refers to students who started an academic program but did not complete it, whether they are no longer enrolled at their university or are considering a return to finish their degree.

Service 1. Research Study Review and Coaching Session for Current and Former Students

$350 base fee plus $0.03 per word. Your word count is your document's total word count as reported by Microsoft Word, including references and appendices. After you send me your document, I will verify the word count and email you an invoice showing the calculation and your total.

I review your research study personally. I do not delegate this work to an associate or contractor. This service includes a developmental review of your document, your research study document returned with my comments, a written summary review letter sent to you before we speak, a 60- to 90-minute telephone coaching session, a short action-item list after our session, and APA 7th edition guidance specific to your document, if your program requires APA style.

This service is a developmental review. I read your research study closely and comment on its direction, alignment, and structure. I do not make corrections in your document, so this service does not include line editing, copyediting, proofreading, or formatting.

I will also share guidance on how to vet and hire a reputable external research study consultant, so that you are not taken advantage of, and how to work effectively with that consultant throughout a long-term editing, coaching, or mentoring engagement. I will also explain how to use other specialized services when your study calls for them, such as those from a statistician or a qualitative methodologist.

Service 2. Consultation for Prospective, Current, and Former Students

$125 per hour. The minimum session is one hour. Longer sessions can be scheduled.

Returning clients pay $105 per hour for consultations booked within 12 months of a previous session.

This service does not include a research study document review. It is a private telephone consultation covering your questions and concerns about your current or future doctoral or master's program, including your research study. Topics may include starting and completing an academic program successfully, developing a research study topic, time management, program and research study requirements, hiring external research study consultants, returning to an academic program, your rights as a student, and more.

You are welcome to book more than one session. Some students book Service 1 again after revising their research study, and others book Service 2 for follow-up questions after our session. The returning client rate applies to Service 2 consultations only, because each Service 1 review requires reading your document in full.

I am happy to speak with you.

When graduate students do their part and receive proper support and guidance, they can achieve their goals of completing their research study and degree.
